Shark Lagoon Nights are back

The public is invited to get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators at the Aquarium of the Pacific for FREE during Shark Lagoon Nights. Guests will have the opportunity to touch bamboo sharks and see large sharks such as sandtigers as well as rays in the Aquarium’s Shark Lagoon.
Coffee, hot cocoa, beer, wine, desserts, and snacks are available for purchase.

Whale Watching

The public is invited to embark on an educational whale watch adventure through the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Whale Watch. Whales, dolphins, and birds all make incredible journeys along our coast, ranging from a few hundred miles to many thousands. Adventurers will explore the nearby seas aboard the specialized Harbor Breeze Cruises whale-watching boat, the Christopher, to seek out such travelers as gray, fin, blue, and Minke whales, various dolphin species, sea lions, and a host of migratory sea birds. Aquarium experts will be on board to answer questions and to talk about gray whale conservation issues and how to help these and other marine mammals.

You will start a new tradition when you bring your family to the Aquarium for a very memorable New Year's experience.
The Aquarium of the Pacific invites families to ring in the New Year with the fish during the New Year's Eve Family Sleepover. Guests observe the animals' nocturnal behaviors, learn more about them, and even touch some. Participants get to feed fish, watch a 3D film, and sleep in front of one of the exhibits while counting down to 2009. Refreshments include a pizza dinner, as well as snack, breakfast, and sparkling cider. Everyone takes home an Aquarium T-shirt.
