Visions of Care ~ Voices of Childhood
This tribute to the Long Beach Day Nursery’s 97 Years of dedicated quality child care recognizes Florence Bixby’s founding of the Nursery. The display of historic materials will feature ongoing children’s story times throughout the day. Families are encouraged to share a story they treasure or bring treasures to share that make their childhood memorable.

VISIONS~VOICES is a weeklong and citywide festival from March 6-14 merging the former Smithsonian Week with Long Beach Reads One Book. Presented by the Arts Council for Long Beach in partnership with the Long Beach Public Library Foundation, the celebration of arts and literature numbers more than 50 arts, culture and literary arts events. VISIONS~VOICES will showcase personal stories and experiences through storytelling, oral history, spoken word, visual arts, performance and literature.
